Stratford upon Avon has it all: timbered buildings, a beautiful river, a rich literary history and fabulous places to eat and drink. It is home to the river festival, the food festival, fab fest, the comedy festival and this year will become the proud host of its very own Folk Festival.
Stratford Arts House with partner Riverside Campsite welcomes Folk folk from far and wide to the very first Stratford Folk Festival.
Launching on Friday 2nd June, the Riverside Campsite will play host to a ceilidh featuring local band Greenman Rising. Saturday and Sunday are jam packed with music, featuring internationally acclaimed headline acts (Show of Hands, Cara Dillon) , national award winners (Kathryn Roberts & Sean Lakeman, Sam Kelly) and wealth of Midlands’ musicians (Fleetwood Cave, Magik River etc), music workshops, storytellers, arts and crafts alongside stalls offering everything from crepes to keepsakes.
We expect to welcome 2000 Midland based visitors across the three day event and will be catering to their discerning palette by offering a variety of high quality, speciality ales and serving up gourmet treats courtesy of our guest caterers.
